Privacy Policy

Last updated August 12, 2026

This policy covers emulade.app and the Emulade desktop application on Windows, macOS, and Linux. It explains what we collect, why, and what we don't touch.

What we don't collect

Emulade's native engines run entirely on your machine. We have no visibility into the Android environment itself: the apps you install, what you do inside them, your screen, or your files. None of that is sent anywhere.

The website currently uses no third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies beyond what's strictly needed to remember your light/dark theme preference, which is stored only in your browser.

What we do collect

Update checks. When Emulade checks for updates, it sends your app version, OS, and CPU architecture so we can serve the correct native build. No account or personal identifier is attached to this request.

Crash and diagnostic reports. If Emulade crashes, you'll be asked before anything is sent. If you agree, a report containing the crash log and basic system information (OS version, RAM, CPU) is sent to help us fix the bug. This never includes anything from inside the Android guest.

Direct contact. If you email us for support, we keep that correspondence and whatever information you choose to include in it.

How we use it

Update and diagnostic data is used only to ship correct builds and fix bugs. We don't build advertising profiles, and we don't sell data to anyone, full stop.

Sharing

We don't sell or rent your data. It's shared only with the infrastructure and crash-reporting providers we use to run the service, and only to the extent needed for them to do that job.

Retention and security

Diagnostic reports are kept only as long as useful for debugging and are deleted on a routine schedule. We use standard security practices to protect what we do store, though no system is perfectly secure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete information we hold about you. To exercise any of these, contact us at the address below.

Children's privacy

Emulade is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a material way, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, note it in the changelog.
